Originally from Eastern Kentucky, Natalie Carter (Combs) is a freelance scenic and fine artist. An alumnus of the Kentucky Governor's School for the Arts (2007), she graduated from the Hite Art Institute at the University of Louisville in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in studio art, also obtaining minors in theatre and art history. Following an internship with StageOne Family Theatre, she moved to New Orleans, Louisiana and joined I.A.T.S.E. Local 478 where she worked on various film and television programs for four years.
She returned to Louisville, KY in 2018 and worked as an assistant technical director for CenterStage at the Jewish Community Center before finally deciding to hang her set building hat up for good in 2019.
Currently she resides in Southern Indiana with her husband, 2 step-sons, and 2 cats (Penny and Parmesan). She works an office job by day and pursues her own artwork while also accepting commissions the rest of the time.
